Connection Speed Test always returns around 740kbps - Wired or Wireless

A customer of our is experiencing errors connecting to our database (not clover's). They are one of many customers, others are not seeing these errors.

My thoughts are it may be connection speed.

I checked how to run a connection speed test, and did this on our own kit.

On a Mini 2 and Station 1 I see around 730Kbps whether the devices are wired to my router or wireless. I have a fast internet connection, around 500Mbps, and my MacBook wireless is showing around 350Mbps. All my equipment is within 3 feet of the router.

Is there a speed limit on the Clover devices?

Why would the wired and the wireless speeds be virtually identical?

Thanks

Robin Walmsley

The speed test app connects to Clover servers, and those connections are throttled. That's expected. The point of the speed test is to ensure bandwidth to Clover, not a general purpose one. There are better tools available for that.

~750 KB/s is plenty for communicating with Clover servers.
