Clover Mini to Shopify POS for iPad for payment processing?

Has anyone tried to connect Clover Mini to Shopify POS for iPad for payment processing? If so is there already something in place I can use? Has anyone tried but ran into road blocks?

We would like to use the clover mini as a external payment device and the Shopify pos (on iPad) send the transaction details to the clover mini via cloud for card processing.

Those are for integrating a Shopify website with a clover pos to populate the clover pos with inventory (or take inventory from clover pos and push to a shopify website). They don’t do anything with payment processing. What I am asking about is relative to the Shopify pos (different product than a Shopify website) that runs on a iPad and being able to link a clover mini to it so that transactions can be rang up in the Shopify pos and the details show up on a mini to process the card payment.

There have been no previous attempts that I am aware of.

While we provide SDKs for connecting to the Clover Mini from a remote POS, Shopify would most likely themselves need to integrate them in order to allow the option. So you could make the case to them!

I've been sifting through their site a bit and I do see that they advertise use with external terminals, so if you were familiar with how that communication works, you could possibly code a translation layer that receives their communications and consumes our SDKs.
