Assign Customer to Payment using REST PAY DISPLAY API

https://community.clover.com/questions/61152/assign-customer-to-payment.html something like this but I'm using (REST PAY DISPLAY API) https://docs.clover.com/reference/pay

I make the payment but in the dashboard the customer column is BLANK

How do I to relate payment and customer using that endpoint?

Generally speaking the rest pay API is for third party POSs that don't use Clover orders/customers, etc. You will need to make an API call via Clover's normal API after the payment is complete to update the customer.
