V1 (Jar Signature) option gone

I have been through forums and read the answer but my andriod studio does not allow me to select V1 (Jar Signature) proof.png

I have seen some reports of this recently, for now, https://community.clover.com/questions/32913/no-option-to-change-apk-signature-version-from-v2.html.
