COGS from API requests not matching Clover Revenue Item Sales Report

I am using the API to generate daily sales and COGS reports. I am using the Clover Revenue Item Sales report to check my own calculations. The sales numbers are matching. The cost of goods sold on the Clover Revenue Item Sales report is higher than my calculated cost of goods sold for the same day and same items. I am using the field "cost" which is the unit cost for the item in the products API. Please provide assistance to help me reconcile this difference.

Since you have the data you are going to have to figure this out. My only guess would be that you aren't accounting for unit quantity for items priced by quantity.
