Rest API filtering data

Is there a definitive list of fields I can use for filtering data with a GET command?
I am particularly interested in the Items and Categories tables.

Thanks for your reply, I had already checked through the docs and in particular the API reference, but I missed the section on Query parameters -> Filter.

Thats the information I needed.
