Webhooks when using Rest API

My plan is to use the API key from a merchant to create an order in the merchant's account. Since I'll be doing this with the API, I won't have an installed app on the merchant's device. I'm wondering how I can set a webhook for the order to be able to get status back from that order? Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

I'm afraid you need the app to be able to achieve the goal you're aiming for

You must have an app if you want to use webhooks. Clover has a "web" app type that would be used in this case that represents the integration.
