Which API to use for creating orders without relying on Clover's Inventory system?

Which API to use for creating orders without relying on Clover's Inventory system? We have reviewed the documentation but couldn't find a specific API for this purpose.

Could you please advise us on the most suitable API or recommended method to seamlessly create orders within our app without using Clover's Inventory? We aim to ensure a smooth integration process while maintaining system integrity.

We have our own software for processing the orders and we would like to post them in our customer's Clover account. (Note: We don't use Clover payment gateway)

We would greatly appreciate any guidance, recommendations, or best practices you can provide. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Thanks

I would recommend reading our docs on customer orders: https://docs.clover.com/docs/creating-custom-orders

If you are handling the orders on your end and just want to prompt the Clover for payments as a intent base, please follow our https://docs.clover.com/docs/clover-development-basics-semi

For your app to be approved, Clover only allows payment processing through their payment gateway and this is outline in the Developer Agreement.

@ Thank you for your answer!

What if we process payments with our own Clover account (Using Clover Go Terminal) and then Can we send (via API) order details to the other (partner's) Clover account?

thats not possible. You can't send your merchant details to another merchant. If you have the developer's app installed on your account they can use Clover APIs to read order data. I am still a little confused on how you are trying to setup your flow.

But from your first post, I would recommend looking more into the Semi integration approach and just use a clover device as a payment intent terminal while your own POS handles everything else (inventory, orders, etc). I also highly recommend testing all of your flows in Sandbox to play around with the our platform.
