Emulator issue on M1 Mac

I have an M1 Macbook Pro running Ventura. I've managed to configure the x86 emulator profile for my Android Studio, but I'm receiving the message 'The emulator process for AVD <profile> has terminated.'

I've reviewed the workaround described here, and applied the changes with no success.

If I try to use the ARM ABI with the profile, none of the clover applications start up (I suspect because those apps aren't compiled for ARM.

Are you launching the emulator when you are running the code or are you opening the emulator first and getting the error message?
