Hi, I have a partner Ocuco that is completing a semi-integration using Cloud Pay but they are seeing a 5-6 second delay in transactions compared to non integrated. Is this due to testing in the sandbox or are there resolutions to a slow responce and if so what are they?
In a cloud integration messaging initiates at the POS, travels to our proxy servers, and then to the device, so, it will not perform as well as payments taken directly on the device. The delay involved depends on several factors including network connectivity/latency, etc. If Cloud Pay Display is not already running on the device the initial delay will be longer because we have to send a message to the device to start Cloud Pay Display (and it has to have time to start-up before a transaction can fire).
