Same Menu Item in different stores have different IDs. How do we find if its a same item?

Same Menu items added in different store has different IDs assigned to them? Is there any way we can figure it out as a same item? Is there any POS ID or exernal ID which can be configured for each menu items in different store?

Inventory is unique per merchant from our perspective (items across stores will have different Clover uuids).

So, I will have to use fields such as SKU to identify same items, right?

You could use SKU I suppose, you just can't use Clover uuid.
