Unable to generate api token from sandbox account for REST API use

I created a sandbox account with clover. I don't have an actual production account yet.

Trying to generate an API token, but the page keeps displaying processing status.

I have added a Test App with AppType set to REST clients that generated an APP ID along with the APP secret.

Is there anything else that needs to be done in order to generate a token?

Followed all the steps from the link above, but the button to create New token is blocked by the clover processing overlay.

I can't reproduce this issue. Have you tried logging out and then back in, or using a different browser? Why don't you just use an OAuth token?

Tried in Firefox, Chrome and Edge, same issue. The overlay appears everywhere.

I follow the steps listed here - https://docs.clover.com/docs/using-oauth-20

After step 8, the page stays blank, the URL contains only client_id. Nothing else.

Also, I was hoping I would be able to test the APIs via postman, so was hoping to get a permanent token temporarily.

What is the oauth response type in your apps configuration? It sounds like you have it set to token and it should be code.

The document says to set it to token in Step 4?

Just install the app to your merchant, instructions here - https://community.clover.com/articles/23744/resolving-401-unauthorized-responses-when-making-a.html. Then just click your app link from your merchant dashboard and you will be directed to your app and if you have the type as token the token will be in the URL.

Is there a way to obtain an API Token? I have the same problem jbpcan has

Yes, generally in production you aren't going to be using merchant tokens anyway - take a look at this article for step-by-step instructions - https://community.clover.com/articles/29543/obtaining-an-access-token-via-the-oauth-flow-in-sa.html.
