Merchant Not Accepting Debit

Customer facing Mini. For Swipe and DIP cards, the menus prompt customer to select Credit or Debit.

Since vendor does not accept debit, the transaction will decline and the customer is confused and unhappy.

Why is this not a configurable option for end Clover Admins.

Suppressing PIN does not appear to to remove Credit/Debit Prompt.

Disabling this prompt via configuration would be important future function add.

Correcting previous inaccurate statement. Turning off PIN dies remove customer prompt for credit/debit prompt.

Traditionally, all Clover merchants have been configured to accept Debit Cards on their payment processing account; this is why the 'Credit' vs. 'Debit' prompt shows up. In the future, this configuration may be optional. A merchant should currently be able to disable PIN entry for an individual device, which should suppress the 'Credit' vs. 'Debit' prompt.

Where would a merchant disabled PIN entry for an individual device? I can't find the setting.

Setup > Payments > PIN Entry.
