i have a web app that i need oauth2 to generate a token i created a web app in the clover dashboard can i use it as is or am i required to publish it to the clover store this is intended for our store only so i would prefer it not be publicly available

I am working on getting an official answer for this question.
The problem we are running into usekng the test token is we are hitting the rate limit after 3-4 api calls we are hopping this limit is higher with the OAuth method
No, you do not need to publish the application. You can go through the OAuth flow and obtain a token. This will work and is allowed as long as the merchant is directly owned by your developer account.
