different browsers on different units?

hi,

we tested our web app on our dev kits (a mini and a mobile). we are now seeing a c100 trying to use our app and its identifying as a android browser 4 on the c100. It is not displaying our content properly. we were under the impression that all the units were on chrome 30 on the devices, 33 on the emulators and now we see this new one popping up.

can we have some insight as to what is being used by you internally to test our apps?

Only the Station has a browser which is a Clover flavor of Firefox. The Mini and Mobile in production do not and will not have browser.

Wow @james-cha that is a very poor answer

@yshuman, since you were asking about web apps the correct answer to your question is as follows -- 1. Mobile and Mini units use Chrome 30 (2013 version) 2. Station uses Android Browser 4 (as in pre-Chrome) the 2012 version. 3. The emulator base image provided by Clover uses neither of these. (It happens to be Chrome 33, a 2014 version but since that's not actually used by any production device, it's useless to test against)

As far as the comment about a "Clover flavor of Firefox" you may also disregard that, as it has no relevance to web apps

As @yshuman asked about browsers on our device. We do provide a Clover Browser on the Stations that is built on top of Mozilla Firefox technology thus my comment of Clover flavor of Firefox. We do not and will never support browsers on the Mini and Mobile.

Clover does not provide any emulator images. Those are purely owned and distributed by their corresponding companies, Google Android and Genymotion. We do provide many of our apps including the Clover Launcher and the Updater. You will have access to browsers on the emulators because they are a default app that come with Android.
