ADB USB Debugging not working on C302

I'm unable to get the Clover Mini C302 working with ADB on my 15" Macbook 2018 model.

When I run this command the device doesn't even show up as connected to my computer:
ioreg -p IOUSB

I've tried all 4 USB C ports on my mac.
I've tried 3 different USB cables which all work with ADB with my phone.
I've tried all 4 USB A ports on the Mini as well as the USB B port
I've enabled debugging on the Mini
I've added 0x28f3 to ~/.android/adb_usb.ini
I've tried adb kill-server, adb start-server

The only thing I've noticed is that the Clover Mini will charge my macbook or my phone but that's about it.

Any solution to this? I'm on station 2018 (got it 1.5 years ago) and facing similar things. My inkling is that the usb port died.
