Quantity limits in an order

How come there are issue with orders that have a quantity over 100?

Either we have an inventory item that has a per pound price of for example $.89 and we enter

380 pounds, the order amount gets messed up. Or we try to enter 250 of an inventory item in an order and the system won't accept it. Is this issue going to get corrected so you can work with amounts over 100? This is a real short coming in Clover.

Hi Scott,

Are you a Clover merchant or a developer? If you are a merchant, can you clarify what apps you are using to place that order and what the "order amount gets messed up" means? In a private/moderators only comment (https://community.clover.com/articles/10851/introducing-private-comments.html) can you provide your merchant id or name and an inventory item that you are having problems with?

This is still an issue a year and a half later. In the Register App if you try to enter more than 100 of an item it does not let you do this. When will this issue be fixed? It is a major shortcoming of Clover.

Any update on this? This quantity limitation is ridiculous. I cannot think of a single reason why there would be a limitation as low as 100. With our old system we create receipts with well over 100 of a single item at a time but for some reason Clover doesnt allow this? It makes zero sense.

Here are a few steps you can take to address this issue:

Contact Clover Support: Reach out to Clover’s customer support to report the issue and inquire about any upcoming updates that might address this limitation. They may also have workarounds or temporary solutions.

Split Orders: As a temporary workaround, you can split the order into smaller quantities that are under the limit. For example, instead of entering 380 pounds in one go, you could enter it as multiple entries of 100 pounds each.

Check for Updates: Ensure that your Clover system is up to date. Sometimes, software updates can include fixes for known issues.

Provide Feedback: Use Clover’s feedback channels to highlight the importance of this feature for your business. The more feedback they receive, the more likely they are to prioritize a fix

Some POS systems, including Clover, may have default settings or limitations that restrict large quantity entries to prevent errors or accidental oversights. This can sometimes be adjusted in the system settings or by contacting support. candy clicker
