The Sales app is not installed on the Clover Flex 3.

I am trying to test some functionality with the Clover DevKit, and realized that the Sales app is not installed nor can I install it via the App store.

Is this an known issue or an intentional feature?

I'd like to be able to test certain workflows through the Clover Flex 3 DevKit if possible.

I was able to figure out how to get the Sales app to show. (Possibly other apps if people were looking for it.)

If you go into the App Market -> open the sidebar with 3 lines to click Service Plans -> I was able to see the Sales App if I subscribed to the Counter Service Restaurant plan.

Would've been useful if I found this information anywhere when ordering my DevKit but at least it's there.

You might be able to find other apps that are missing by switching plans.

The inability to install the Sales app on the Clover DevKit is a known limitation and an intentional feature. Clover DevKits are designed primarily for developers to test and develop their own applications rather than to serve as fully functional point-of-sale systems out of the box.

Here are a few points to consider:

1. **DevKit Limitations**: The Clover DevKit typically comes with limited access to pre-installed apps and functionalities. This ensures that developers focus on testing their applications rather than using the device for regular sales operations.

2. **Sales App Restrictions**: The Sales app, which is integral to Clover's core POS functionality, is often restricted in the DevKit environment. This restriction helps avoid potential conflicts and ensures the security and stability of the development environment.

3. **Testing Workflows**: If you need to test specific workflows that require sales transactions, you may need to simulate these transactions using available development tools or create mock environments that mimic the Sales app's functionality. Alternatively, you could reach out to Clover support or your account representative to see if there are any workarounds or if a more suitable device or setup is available for your testing needs.

4. **Access to Documentation and Support**: For more detailed guidance, check Clover’s developer documentation or contact their support team. They can provide specific instructions and best practices for testing within the limitations of the DevKit.

In summary, the absence of the Sales fm app on the Clover DevKit is intentional, focusing the device's use on app development and testing rather than full POS functionality. If testing sales workflows is critical, consider reaching out to Clover for potential solutions or alternatives.
