Web application integration with Clover card reader payment

Hi,
We are developing .NET based web application for one our customers(city govt). We need to integrate card reader to our web application for in-person payments. And also, online payment.

Scenario 1:
We want our users to click a payment button from our web application. Then it should display the amount in the terminal for customer to swipe or insert card to pay in-person. Once the payment is success, it should display in our web application.

Scenario 2:

Online users login to our web application and make payments online.

Do have .NET SDK or integration tool to integrate your card reader to our application and online payments?

Please let me know and we would like hear back from you.

thanks,
Sri

Hi @ ssenthil,

For scenario 1, I would recommend integrating to our REST Pay Display solution: https://docs.clover.com/docs/rest-pay-overview. This is our latest and greatest API for device-based payment integration, and we will add many new features to it in the future.

For scenario 2, you can leverage our Ecommerce API: https://docs.clover.com/docs/clover-development-basics-ecommerce. Used with our Hosted iFrame, you will be able to accept payments from your customers on your website securely.

Both of these solutions will require implementation of our OAuth 2.0 framework https://docs.clover.com/docs/configuring-oauth-20 to ensure that merchant users authorize your applications for access to their account and data, so make sure to account for that as part of your project.

Thanks,

Kevin

Hello Kevin,

Thanks for the reply.

Is there a sample demo application we can download and evaluate?

Thanks,

Hi Sri,

We don't provide any sample clients for REST Pay Display, but you can use a Clover Dev Kit running Cloud Pay Display with our Postman collection to exercise the API endpoints. https://docs.clover.com/docs/using-postman-rest-pay-api

Ecommerce SDKs here: https://docs.clover.com/docs/ecomm-software-development-kits

Thanks,
Kevin
