Daily download of transactions through API

We are starting to use Clover for some events and I need to download daily transactions (automatically) into a CSV for import into our system. Given all of the choices and the focus on front end POS in the API I am looking for advice on the simplest way to get the data through the API.

This is an integration that only we will ever use and is "read-only". I am comfortable with the actual coding, I'm just asking for which path to take.

Are you a merchant? If so, you can generate an API token (via your merchant dashboard) and then use our REST API to pull the data you need - https://docs.clover.com/docs/making-rest-api-calls (see all subsections in left nav), reference for the payments endpoint here - https://docs.clover.com/reference/paygetpayments
