It would just be an additional charge or debit, automatically figured along with tax, discounts, whatever. This would be fantastic! I saw a store that had a different POS system, and they had this feature. Also, that store made a small sign at the register clearly stating that they rounded to the nearest quarter -- and, if the day closed with this causing a surplus, that surplus was donated in its entirety to the local animal shelter. It also quoted the previous years' total amount donated. Very cool. I would LOVE to be able to do this! And I would love to stop messing with pennies, nickles and dimes.
