My email notifications are set properly. I noticed that I didn't get an email for the answers I got to my two posts yesterday. I confirmed with my mail server that no emails came in. I also just tried to validate my email address from my profile page on the forum, and those emails didn't come into my mail server either, so it's not a case of them being marked as spam.
@webmaster2 - Can you confirm if you have the following set:
Send me notifications even if i am not following the item
An answer is poster 'On' Instant
a comment is posted 'On' Instant
On the things i follow, send me notification where there is
A new answer 'On' Instant
A new comment 'On' Instant
Additionally
Notify me when someone mentions me in a post using @username notation 'On'
