Private app, public app, or neither?

We have developed a web app to integrate with our store's POS system (create listing, delist items, detect sales) using REST API. It works on the sandbox, but we want to test the sale detection webhooks in action to verify. Are we able to connect this with our own production merchant account without going through either review process? ... our store opens this weekend and the 0Auth is not working with the production merchant. We still submitted the app for public market but are wondering if that's even necessary

So, we don't recommend testing in PROD, but the webhooks work in sandbox. If you have a PROD developer account it should also come with a test merchant.

Your app has to be approved to actually use a live production merchant.

If your OAuth is not working please make sure the environment host is correct (Prod vs. Sandbox)
