Above maximum transaction count error

Hey I recently started to receive on my testing the error "card_declined - Above maximum transaction count per card" when I try to create a token for the testing card 4242424242... .
So I'm wondering why does a card have a limit for transactions (especially a test card), what is the limit, and if this can happen for users as well and not just in sandbox.

Also the charge still works from time to time so its confusing.

Up to 2 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 512.0 KiB each and 1.0 MiB total.

You might have to check your test merchant's Fraud tools settings( Account & Setup> Fraud Tools> Transaction Limit)


The transactions limit settings limit the amount of transactions per card

In PROD developers are unable to manage these LIVE merchant settings because these settings are there to protect the merchant from suspicious activity.
