How to change a closed order without recreating it

a rest asked once a table order is closed and then needs to make a change without having to re create the whole order

I think it depends on what you want to change. Do they want to change something with a financial impact or something more arbitrary, like the employee or a note?

They want to not have to re enter the whole order after having to make a change on a closed order. Closed and customer wants split bill....merchant has to re enter entire order ....

Gotcha,

That'd be a financial change. I don't see how you could do that being that a payment ID was already generated and applied to the order. From a practical sense you'd have to refund the payment to reopen the Order.
