What is a MID of 11111111111111 on a device?

What does MID of 1111111111111 signify on a Clover device used by ourselves as a test merchant or in sandbox? It's clearly not the actual MID of the test merchant.
Is this MID available in the REST API or is it merely some mechanism to ensure credit cards used for test purposes are not billed ...
OR something else.

Hello,

Merchants with 11111111111111 type MIDs are blackholed so yes, I think your guess that ensuring credit cards are not billed is correct!
