Manually edit tax on order

We want to manually edit the calculated tax because the amount being sent from the external payment processor is not the same.

The correct tax calculation is showing on our system and the payment processor, but it is incorrect on Clover. How can we solve this issue?

The problem here is that the status shows "Partially Paid", not "Paid". Therefore, the calculations need to match to change the status to "Paid".

Tax in Clover is computed based on the items on the order and the tax rates associated with those items. If the tax rates are incorrect, you should adjust them to be accurate.

The tax calculations are not made by us, they are coming from Stripe - the difference is usually 0.01 or 0.02 - it seems like Clover and Stripe do not calculate tax the same way, and I do not understand how this is possible.

It would be helpful to know what exact formula Clover uses to calculate the tax (is it calculated per line item, or for the whole order total, how are discounts factored in - are they subtracted after or before the tax calculation) - and how it is rounded (up or down) when its not a full integer.
