Notification before payment is processed

Hello,


is there anyway to get notified as soon as a payment tender is pressed and before the payment processing begins. I know of the broadcast receiver after the payment has been processed but I am looking to get notified as soon as any payment tender is pressed and before the payment begins for that tender.
