sideload apk for production Clover Go

Can I sideload locally build apk to a smartphone to work with production Clover Go, or do I need publish it to the Google Play store first?

We have private build apk that we prefer not to publish to Google store.

Doesn't this have more to do with the smartphone than with Clover?

This question should not be closed. Clover SDK could possibly check the underline OS feature or security, or certificate etc. and decide whether or not to run. For example, I was told I cannot run Clover Go with a rooted smartphone. My question is, assuming the smartphone allow me to do sideload apk, would Clover Go work?

I am doing the project planning and need to know our options.
