When does printing of order receipts occur? Is it after the order is paid for or as items are added to an order on the Register app? Also, is the printing all done manually -- that is, do you have to tap a button for the printing to occur or is it automatic?
Sorry for the dumb question! It's hard for us to determine the answer as we haven't received our order receipt printer yet so we're hoping to get some help.
It can be automatic or manual, as well as which items are printed can vary based on what's been printed previously and selection from the employee. There's not a way for an another app to know when the Register app has printed a receipt. It's a private function of the Register app only it knows.
You can however look at the order itself. If a line item has been printed it'll have the field "printed" set to "true". See attached order's line items.
Knowing why you want to understand when an order receipt is printed might help get to an answer it's otherwise hard to speculate where you are coming from.
