Web Payment integration website PHP

Hi everyone!
I was looking for a way to have credit card payments on my PHP website using Clover. As far as i understood i will need to collect the card information from the client on my website an then pass it to Clover trough REST Api. This is the only way? I'm forced to collect this sensible data on my end? Or can i somehow jump to a Clover Payment Page to process the payment? Can you help me? many thanks!
