How to Refund/Void/Delete or otherwise negate External Payments?

Is there any way to get rid of an External Payment generated through the Web API?

I've tried several methods, but have had no luck. There is nothing I could find in the API documentation, and submitting a DELETE request to the payment URL is not permitted. When I try to refund the payment on the Clover POS, the Transactions application crashes, saying "Unfortunately, Transactions has stopped."

Up to 2 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 512.0 KiB each and 1.0 MiB total.

You cannot delete a payment record. What do you mean by external payments? Could you provide a bit more context?
