Flex connectivity options

Hi folks, the sandbox Clover flex we have has a USB connection hub (with port for power and ethernet). If I remember correctly it says somewhere this is only available on the developer devices, and real Flexes only come with a charger.

If this is true, are these hubs sold separately so that merchants can plug USB devices into their Flex? Or is there no way a USB device could be plugged in to a Flex?

What other hardware connectivity options are there, is NFC still off the table for good?
Thanks!

No, the hubs are not sold. It is not possible to connect USB peripherals to Flex.

Thanks Jeff, with Flex camera scanner issues and glare issues from the torch, and no NFC it makes it quite a difficult proposition for us to develop for right now :(
