Discount full order

How do we cater for situations where a merchant discounts a full order?

Usually a merchant can discount everything and then hit the 0.00 cash option, however more and more merchants are opting not to have cash enabled as a tender, this means that when they apply a discount to the entire order they cannot close the order out.

What is the recommended solution to this?

As a developer, you can create a $0 payment to the order. This will close out the order.

Thanks @miguel presumably I need to create a new tender type then, however, we don't want a tender to be displayed. If we mark the tender as not "enabled" will it still be accepted?

We also get this question a lot from Clover customers who don't use one of our services - it seems a common problem. If they don't have one of our apps installed, how can they apply a discount to a whole order and have it closed out without affecting their payment reports?
