Hosted Checkout responds with "Unauthorized"

I'm trying to test out hosted checkout with a sandbox account, following the instructions here:

https://docs.clover.com/docs/testing-your-hosted-checkout-integration-macoslinux

But keep getting this response

{"status":{"reason":"Unauthorized","code":401},"message":"COS calculate order failed with exception: 401 Unauthorized: [{\"message\":\"401 Unauthorized\"}]"}

I checked to be sure all info (merchantId , privateKey, emailAddress ) are correct.

Same error if using powershell.

What could be the reasons and how to fix them?

This is a known issue in the sandbox environment that we are currently working on. I will post back here when it has been resolved.
