Help in creating itemGroup (Variable) items via API

Hello, I tried searching in the forum, but can't find any documentation nor a tutorial on how to do this.

Could someone please explain to me on how to create an itemGroup via Clover API?

I'm under the impression that Clover will auto generate all the item once the itemGroup, attributes, and options have been created and connected. But this doesn't seem like so when I tried it.

Clover does not autogenerate that information if created through the API. You would have to create them one by one individually.

However, a merchant is able to create many items through the Inventory app available on Clover devices on the Register plan. For further information, please see: https://help.clover.com/add-edit-delete-items-without-variants/?userDevice=station#add-an-item-with-variants-to-inventory

I find that item's name that are generated by Clover devices cannot be modified if it's tied with an itemGroup. Does this also apply if I create them one by one manually?

Also, when you said that I'm gonna have to create them manually, is this the endpoint for me to associate the items to the itemGroup?

If not, which endpoint should I use to associate the items to an itemGroup?
