cash_events endpoint returning 401

Get request for "https://clover.com/v3/merchants/MID/cash_events" is returning a 401 Unauthorized response. Payments READ permission is enabled and get requests to payments endpoint is working fine. Am I missing something?

So I found the answer, but I am confused as why it is this way... You need READ permission for Employees to be able to access the cash_events endpoint. Why is this?

Cash events are events associated with employee. The purpose of the system is to track how employees are handling cash.
