Calling the print_events api but orders aren't being printed

Hi I'm creating the orders and sending them to print via the API but it's not printing the items.

I am aware of this previous ticket regarding this,

Wanted to know if that was still the functionality, is a native app still require to physically print the orders, or if that's been updated to a simpler solution?

If a native app is still required, does that app have to be focused on the POS or can it just be running in the background.

No, a native app is not required, can you provide us with an order id and the environment you are in (sandbox, prod)?
