Hi,
We are having this issue with wrong totals. We are an Gift And Loyalty provider.
Steps to replicate:
1. TablePlus -> create a bill for $300 (exclude taxes for testing).
2. Pay the bill
3. Enter a tip of 20% ($360 is now owed)
4. Pay first with a gift that has a balance of $50 and complete the gift card transaction
Expected result:
Should see $310 as the remainder to pay.
Actual Result:
$300 is displayed.
You are seeing this in sandbox or production? Is this a new feature for your integration that you are developing or is this an established integration that you are testing/troubleshooting? When did this behavior start?
The video I provided was me replicating it in our staging environment.
Our app has been with the company since 2016. The clover devices might be new though.

Thanks for the report. I am engaging the payments team to take a look at this. Does this only happen with a custom item?
It happens with regular items. I used custom for convenience in testing.
I wrote this comparing the 2. It looks like the Gift Card amount is being applied to Tip.
