Using USB-B Barcode Scanner for Flex (gen 1/gen2)

I have a Flex gen 1 and a flex gen 2 and I need to scan the small PDF417 barcode on driver's licenses. I'm able to scan blown up images of pdf417 using the camera and custom barcode scanning libraries, but the driver's license one is way too small.


I was thinking about using the clover flex hub to connect a USB type B barcode scanner to the Flex device. Any idea on if this would work?
