What key represents the Order Status in Order List?

I was searching for Order Status in order list to check if the order is still OPEN , PAID , REFUNDED , CREDITED , PARTIALLY PAID , PARTIALLY REFUNDED is Can you kindly confirm if I should use state in order list?

Kindly suggest the correct key for Order Status.

I too need this. How to add status to order, other than "Open"?
