Which Clover Hardware and Software to most simply Process Payments on Kiosk?

Hi, I have an iPad based POS kiosk that I am planning to sell to restaurants. My potential customer uses Clover as a payment processor so I need to integrate as simply as possible to take credit and debit cards.

What is the easiest way to process transactions with Clover in terms of software and hardware? Should I use a cloud or a direct iPad <-> payment-device connection? I will be providing the POS and kiosk for the customer, I only need payment processing integration.

I’ve been experimenting with a few options and found that user-friendly software really makes a difference.
