Station 2018 installation failure

We have a custom tender app that has been successfully installed and in running on over 100 Clover Stations. But, with the 2018 station, out customers are reporting a problem during installation (before the app is run for initialization of the tender). This does not happen all the time. We have not been able to determine what is causing it. Has anyone else seen anything like this?

One of our customers sent us the attached video showing what happens.

What's your target SDK version on your app?

Have you've implemented error/crash report analytics to your app?

Can you extract them or are you able to replicate using a Clover Station 2018 Emulated Device?

The SDK is version 19. The app is not running. The problem is with the install itself. No, we have not implemented error/crash reporting in the app. There is a good deal of logging on the server side. The problem is occurring on actual Station 2018 units, not in an emulator. We have not done any development on this APK since March 2017, well before the 2018 models were released.

It looks like your example video is no longer available. If this is still an issue, could you host it elsewhere, like on YouTube or Vimeo?

When you say the problem is occurring on Station 2018 and not an emulator, do you mean that 1.) the issue came to your attention through actual devices and not emulators or that 2.) you’ve tried to replicate the problem on a Station 2018 emulator and the issue is never arising on emulators at all?

Other than that, Bryanne is right. Station 2018 runs on Android API level of 25. Were you able to change the SDK version and see if that helped?

Set the SDK version to 25, compile and run... if you don't have a dev unit 2018, use an emulated device, it'll be the same, ensure you're targetting production.
