Clover Go and Encryption/PCI considerations

We're in the process of selecting a device to use in a Mobile POS project for iOS for a retail chain. We're interested in using the Clover Go device, but we need to speak with Clover to understand some encryption details, to understand how the device will affect our PCI scope. Specifically:

1) Does the Bluetooth Clover Go device encrypt both chip and magswipe transactions between itself and Clover's gateway?
2) Does the iOS device, using the SDK, have the ability (keys) to decrypt the card data in any way? Does the SDK itself decrypt and then re-encrypt before sending it on?

These are things we need to understand because they affect whether it would place the wi-fi network and/or the mobile device within PCI scope, and thus affecting whether Clover Go can be our solution. I am hoping people from Clover are available on this forum, or can set up a private communication with me, so that we can get an official answer from Clover on this. Thank you very much!
