Getting relationship between modifier and item

I'm trying to use rest API to get modifiers associated with an item or vice-versa. I tried to call merchants/{mId}/items but there is no information on modifiers.

I found out that you can call /v3/merchants/{mid}/modifier_groups?expand=items,modifiers
