Hardware Add On

Is it ok to have our Clover app work in conjunction with a non-Clover piece of hardware that we include as an accessory to the app?

Yes, if that piece of hardware is a USB device you will need to send us information about the device and the package name of the application you are going to submit that uses it. We restrict applications from accessing USB devices directly without first whitelisting it.

Would we be able to have the USB device be an android device? And make the communication via our android application?

I don't believe so, we would not grant access to act as host a typical android device to a single app developer, unless you are the manufacturer of a very special purpose device that happens to run android.
