A manual refundis the same thing as a credit. The API refers to the object as a "credit" but in the UI it is presented to the user as a "manual refund". You can read more in the developer blog post here: https://docs.clover.com/release-notes...
A "manual refund" allows a merchant to refund money back to a customer without associating it to a specific order or payment. A normal "refund" requires an order/payment to be associated. More here: https://help.clover.com/article/refun...
