A client is asking me to build an application to identify customers who come to the store a lot. They want to know who they are and be able to send them gifts, cards, etc. They want to be able to recognize all of their customers without making them enroll in a special loyalty program.

But I am a newbie to the clover platform APIs.
1) Do I need to buy a Clover Developer Kit to test all code?
2) In such case, which kit should I buy?
Extra question.
3) Will my client have access to previous transactions or just the ones after the add-on is deployed?
