Clover platform is built to allow as many technology to connect to our devices as possible and the list continues to expand. Please follow our developer docs for the latest updates.
A quick overview on possible builds:
- An android app built on the device itself. A native app that lives on the device itself and will be the most powerful way for you to develop on our platform.
- A webapp using our REST APIs. An iOS wrapper is available to make developing iOS apps with these endpoints much easier. However, this shouldn't be confused with our Android SDK, which lets you develop apps that would work on Clover devices, and is much more powerful.
- Semi-integrated is a way for our devices (currently only Mini) to act as a customer facing payment terminal, playing support to a connected primary POS. The primary POS will need to be running Windows, Android, or Browser/Javascript.
