CAS Scale works intermittently since 4/4 update

Hello - Scales on two systems started working intermittently since about 4/4 which looks like it was an update date. We are working within the register app and the products would weigh correctly up to that date. I have tried resetting the scales and factory resetting the device. Must be a bug within the update software.

Thanks for reporting. Could you please elaborate the issue. Does the scales display wrong weight intermittently ? When you see the problem again, please also send debug log from Diagnostics app and let us know once sent .

we have the same issue with our station and scale. In register App, it intermittently either shows a blank reading from the scale or displays the weight of the previous item weighed; on the scale the weight display is correct. This issue has caused a lot of wrongly charged orders for our store. Any possibility this update can be rolled out sooner?

If you are in the register app and the pick an item set to be weighed, usually the red/orange light next to the weight transfered to the register app is there. In this case the light comes on and the scale works fine, two minutes later it drops off and doesnt connect with the scale. This is on both devices. I sent device logs in around noon. Do you need any other info on the devices?

Is there anything I can do to fix this temporarily at the station level? Customer is a busy store that is heavily dependent on the scale functioning. Thanks in advance. Appreciate all the answers.

Hi,

CAS PD2 is not a scale that we officially support. So, we don't perform testing with this scale. CAS SW-20 is the scale that we support and we have been making changes to improve this. It is possible that these changes might have had a impact on CAS PD2, but this is not a supported scale and we don't have one with us to test it or debug and fix issuew with it. We would encourage you to use CAS SW-20 which has been long supported.

After the 4/4 update, the CAS Scale has been experiencing intermittent functionality issues. It means that the scale works unpredictably, sometimes functioning properly, and other times experiencing problems or malfunctions.

To address this issue, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:

Power Cycle: Turn off the CAS Scale completely, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few seconds, and then plug it back in. Power cycling can often resolve temporary glitches.

Software Update: Check if there are any software updates or firmware upgrades available for the CAS Scale. Installing the latest updates may fix bugs or issues that were present in the previous version.

Check Connections: Ensure that all cables and connections between the scale and other devices or systems are secure and properly plugged in.

Calibrate the Scale: If the scale's measurements seem inaccurate, consider calibrating it according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Reset to Factory Settings: If the intermittent issues persist, you can try resetting the scale to its factory settings. Keep in mind that this will erase any custom configurations, so be sure to back up any essential data or settings before doing this.

Contact Support: If none of the above steps resolve the problem, it's recommended to reach out to the CAS Scale's manufacturer or customer support for further assistance. They can provide specific troubleshooting steps tailored to your scale model and may offer a warranty service if necessary.

Remember to consult the scale's user manual or documentation for specific guidance and safety precautions while troubleshooting.
